Southeast USA – 2024
Land Restoration (Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Georgia)
The majority of forestland in the Southeast occurs on private lands and these lands are critical to providing the collective ecological benefits that forests provide in this region. This project will reforest non-public lands impacted by natural disasters (hurricanes, wildfires, floods, etc.) throughout the region, including the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Approximately 2.3 million trees will be planted with the goal of watershed protection, enhancing wildlife habitat and carbon sequestration.
